- 8 ounces of your favorite pasta
- 1 container of Trader Joe's Lobster Bisque Pasta
- 1 package of fully cooked frozen langostino tails from Trader Joe’s
- 1 pint of grape or pear tomatoes
- 1/2 medium-sized onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves of fresh garlic minced
- Juice of 1 lemon optional
- Fresh basil leaves chopped (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese optional
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Bring a pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add your pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. This usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes translucent. Next, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes. The kitchen will smell amazing!
Stir in the Trader Joe's lobster bisque pasta into the skillet, mixing well with the sautéed onion and garlic. Next, add the frozen langostino tails. They will heat up quickly and blend beautifully with the sauce. Now, toss in the halved tomatoes and mix until everything is combined.
Sprinkle the mixture with salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes. If you enjoy a zesty bite, squeeze in the juice of the lemon. Stir it all together over medium heat for a few minutes until warmed through.
Once everything is hot and aromatic, serve the dish on warm plates. If desired, top with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese to finish.
- Choose Quality Pasta: Using a high-quality pasta can drastically enhance the dish. Opt for an artisanal or whole wheat option if you prefer.
- Don't Overcook the Langostino: These delicate tails only need a few minutes to heat through. Too long, and you'll lose that tender texture.
- Fresh Herbs Matter: Fresh basil truly makes a difference in flavor. If you can, always opt for fresh over dried.
- Be Mindful of Salt: The lobster bisque has its own saltiness. Taste before adding more.
- Make It Ahead: This dish can be made a few hours ahead. Just reheat gently before serving.
